Multi Skills Programme for Analysts

Originally Accenture identified a level of attrition which was too high amongst its analysts, particularly in their second and third year. They wanted to ensure that they retained the most talented individuals.

More recently the organisation has placed increasing emphasis on the need for Analysts to demonstrate a high level of skill in delivering presentations.

MaST worked with Accenture to create a programme called ‘Human Connection’ to improve delivery of presentations and to increase confidence in doing so.  The programme was also designed to strengthen delegates’ ability to build effective rapport with clients and other stakeholders through effective communication skills.

MaST delivers the key presentation skills element of the programme which has consistently been the highest rated part of the week by delegates. The focus has been on delivering presentations to clients and key stakeholders and has been designed around typical challenging situations that analysts will face when presenting.

As a result of this programme, Accenture has found that people are equipped to work more effectively and feel more valued by the organisation due to its commitment to their development.

The programme has led to the greater retention of talent Accenture desired, affording the organisation a greater choice of able, high calibre analysts, equipped with effective communication skills, to promote to consultant and manager level.

MaST has been running this programme for second year Accenture analysts since 2005. Last year 400 graduated through this programme and similar numbers are expected again in 2016.
